Olympia Events has appointed Andy Price as director of marketing & communications.
Price’s previous role was as commerical director of ticketing & arenas at the NEC Group, where he oversaw venue programming for both the Utilita Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena.
Price also has previous experience in marketing, communications and commercial in radio, music television, live events, creative agencies, as well as retail.
Speaking on his new role, Price said: “I feel honoured to take on the role of leading the marketing and communications strategy for Olympia Events as we move towards the opening of the incredible Olympia destination from next year. The new estate will transform a cultural landmark and our world class business will be right at the heart of it.”
The Olympia destination is set to open in late 2025, connecting the exhibition halls and new conference centre with a 204-room Hyatt Hotel, a 146-room citizenM hotel, a 4,400-capacity live music arena run by AEG Presents, a 1,575-seat theatre by the Trafalgar Entertainment Group, a performing arts school, a boutique gym and inspiring offices.
